how the best trailer dolly on the market came to be.

15 + years ago, while parking our toy hauler at the storage facility we rented a space at, I had an idea/question. I wondered if there was something out there that a person towing a trailer could just pull up, unhook the trailer, and "drive" the trailer by itself into the tight parking space.

After a quick Google search, and probably an Ask Jeeves search, nothing was really available to the average consumer.  At that point it became just a fleeting idea, but one that came around every 5 years or so.

Fast forward to 2020 and COVID.  The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration company I worked for closed their doors.  In my role there, I designed, engineered, and installed/serviced commercial ventilation, heating, air conditioning, critical system monitoring systems, motor and motor controls, and more.  I was also fortunate enough to design and be part of the team to install and launch the first CBD extraction booth emergency ventilation system in Nevada to meet National Fire Safety code.  That system set the precedent for all subsequent extraction booths in Nevada.

When that company closed, I used it as an opportunity to take a couple of months off and evaluate if I wanted to stay in that industry.  One night while sitting on the back porch chatting with my sister and her husband, I said to them "I wonder if that trailer mover is out there yet".  A quick return to Google and I found there were now a few products on the market.  

After spending about 30 minutes looking at what was available, and the reviews, I turned to my sister and her husband and said "I'm doing it.  I'm going to develop the best product on the market, and I'm going to provide the BEST customer service and customer experience on the market".  I drove to Hobby Lobby, purchased some sheets of styrofoam, and "built" the first Trailer Butler design.  Within a week, we were cutting steel and welding the first test prototype.  Our initial results were encouraging.   From there, CAD design was utilized to refine the product for safety, structural integrity, and ease of use.  Patents filed, attorneys retained, state licensing done, and out of my garage, the Trailer Butler was born.

Fast forward to spring of 2022,  and we are in full scale operation, serving not only the Jane and John Doe trailer owners of the world (including our own trailers), but our company has also been tapped by governmental agencies and DOD contractors to build Trailer Butlers for specific applications to suit their requirements.
