We've begun the process to have parts of our electric trailer dolly system cast. Having our parts cast will allow us to mass produce one of our most time consuming items, our trailer dolly mounting brackets. Due to the precise fitment requirements, manually fabricating and welding our brackets is a time consuming process.
If you aren't familiar with what a foundry is, or a casting, here is a short description. A foundry takes extremely hot (2900 degrees), molten steel and pours it into a mold, or cast. Once poured into the mold, it is allowed to cool where it turns into a solid, precise, finished part. If you have a cast iron skillet in your kitchen, that is a perfect example.
By casting our brackets for our industry leading heavy duty trailer dolly, we will be able to mass produce one of the most time consuming processes in building our capable trailer dollies.
We've taken delivery of our CNC Pipe and Tubing cutter and have already started to integrate it into our daily production. This has been a much welcomed addition to our production abilities. We currently use a CNC Plasma table for precise cutting all of our "flat stock" steel.
The addition of the CNC tubing cutter will automate the most time consuming portion of building our main trailer dolly assembly. Currently, our main assembly is cut by hand, prepped, and then welded. Starting with raw steel and ending up with the final product requires many tedious steps, and the addition of this machine will automate that process and literally eliminate approximately 40% our our production time.

***Update 7/27 We have begun to integrate our CNC Tube and Pipe cutter into our production process. We're already seeing the benefits- more shipments are going out. ***
Over the past 2 years, the popularity of our products have steadily grown. As a small manufacturing company of the most capable trailer dolly, our sales have outpaced our manufacturing capability. In response to this, we moved our business from Las Vegas, Nevada to Ponca City, Oklahoma in May 2023.
To say the city and state are supportive of small manufacturing companies would be an understatement! Both the city of Ponca, and the State of Oklahoma, have included our company in it's programs and resources in order to scale our production ability. Above are just a couple of things we are working on right now.
